As a Paranormal Group we are always looking and investing in new equipment, you will see below the best tools for a basic investigation, and as we develop more technically you can see how the inventory develops

These tools are used as a base for each investigation, we have more specialized equipment for more technical investigations.

FLASHLIGHT
Always the first on any equipment list, you need to see where you are going!
Always take extra batteries and back up flashlights for working in the dark, you can never be too sure.
Aslo this tool is great for the Torch Experiment which you will see more on, on the method page.
DOWSING RODS
This tool is often brushed off from most investigators because they are unable to use them. Once you get the hang of them and establish what works for you they make for great communication tools.
Use them with an open mind.

DIGITAL CAMERA
This can be a handy tool for all the orb snappers out there, although you may find in your pictures some interesting finds!
Be sure to clean the lens to avoid any specs on the photos, and when in a dark environment warning others of the flash is helpful.
When investigating you can get false results if you are outside be sure to not take a picture of wind blowing hair into the shot and that ever annoying exhale of breath.
Download the pictures of the evening and enjoy debating what you see.

INFRARED NIGHT VISION STATIC CAMERAS
These can be the most expensive set of equipment in your inventory. Be sure that you are getting HD when you do invest in this particular tool as they make for the best quality.
Generally these will be placed in areas of high activity to record throughout the investigation. Always check the cameras are sound, and you are receiving audio and visual when setting these up before continuing. Clean the cameras with a soft cloth as to avoid any vision deterrents when watching back through the evidence.
You may wish for someone to be at the camera monitor at all times to pick up anything that may occur, so you can act on it momentarily  Just be aware that it can strain the eyes and as with any VDU systems regular breaks should be taken.
VOICE RECORDER
This is a handy tool to have  in your inventory. You can use this to record your EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) sessions, leave in an area of high activity to record all comings goings and activity, or coupled with other pieces of equipment to act as a data logger.
There are a number of these types of recorders around and can range in price. You will probably find it easier to download to you computer to listen to when you go through your evidence. The software you choose is up to you as they range from free to paid and vary in degree of complexity. The best EVPs usually need no cleaning up with use of software and can be heard through headphones or on loudspeaker.
We use different models and technical quality to ensure that anything we do catch can be cross referenced and filtered for evidence.

The K II Meter:
This particular model is very popular within the industry, compromising a push on/off switch this will remain on until you turn it off.
You can get your own one of these from a variety of suppliers and their cost is relatively low.
The theory behind this piece of equipment is that when an entity passes close to it or is next to it the spirit/entity will emit enough energy to make the meter give you any range of reading.
Be aware that you may get mixed results due to mobile phones, Radios or any other equipment that emits EMF so try to keep this in mind when operating the equipment.
